   I suspect that, with the recent heavy rainfall,  many of this =
year=E2=80=99s turtle nests have been drowned or washed out. Our rivers =
and lakes are unseasonably high right now (as they were after the =
passage of post-tropical storm Andrea) and the beaches and sandbars are =
flooded. Turtle nests on artificial sites, such as the unpaved shoulders =
of roads, may be faring better...
   Last Sunday I found some loose turtle eggs, resembling miniature =
ping-pong balls, underwater in Hants County=E2=80=99s Herbert River...

I had just posted a question about DNR relocating turtle eggs from a =
road.

My friend just let me know that someone has made contact with the Museum =
of Natural History and someone was going to come help.
