Hi There=2E

I knew that transporting the eggs to another site them was not the most =
desirable idea=2E

It wasn=27t the adult turtle I was thinking of=2E There was a group of p=
eople who stayed away but kept a watchful eye while she was laying the e=
ggs and gave the cars plenty of warning=2E

I was more worried about the babies when they hatch=2E

Sorry to hear of the wood turtle demise=2E Are they still on the radar a=
s being vulnerable/at risk/of concern etc=3F

=3E =3E Angela=2C I=27m not sure why you were so concerned about that =
snapping turtle nest=2E If the eggs were indeed buried=2C even if it=27s=
an unusual site=2C they might even do OK there=2C considering for one t=
hing that raccoons would not be =22on=22 to that particular site as an a=
nnual site for getting turtle eggs=2E And relocating turtle eggs is=2C I=
think=2C not an easy task -- don=27t they have to be kept in the same o=
rientation as they were in the nest=2C for transportation=2C and then to=
where=3F I think Oak Lawn Farm in Aylesford is used to incubating eggs =
of Blanding=27s and wood turtles=2C so that might be a possibility=2E Pe=
