This morning there was a flock of Canada Geese on L Torment, E Dalhousie, Kings Co. I could see ~25 towards one end of the lake and heard more honking in the upper lake area, not visible to me. L Torment is very inland at roughly the intersection of Kings, Annapolis and Lun Counties. I have been there several times a week for the past month and not noticed any CANGs until today.

Is it likely these are local area geese gathering to head to the coast, or longer distance migrants on a stopover or? They are definitely not resident in numbers like this on the lake (not yet anyway).
