We birded from the Eastern Passage to Seaforth this afternoon, after
lunch, and the only birds worth reporting were a Snowy Owl (? a male)
and a Rough-legged Hawk, both at the Lawrencetown Beach area. In fact,
the Snowy Owl was on the ground in a dead grassy hummock right near the
spruce stand where the Crested Caracara was last March...it later flew
to the top of one of the spruce trees in that stand. The Rough-legged
Hawk was sitting atop a spruce tree due east of the owl. =20
