I've had a hairy woodpecker here since early Dec. It's here everyday. Lots of American goldfinch, juncos, chickadees, blue jays and gray jays. Oh, and a ruffed grouse in one of my white birch, most mornings.

I wonder if anybody else is experiencing a shortage of birds , especially woodpeckers at feeders recently??

Last winter I was going through bird pies at least one every day. Woodpeckers, hairy, downy , and pileated were very frequent and the sunflower seed was getting a lot of attention. . By contrast currently I am rarely seeing anything. Maybe that ice storm we had is to blame?
