Just an FYI, eagle populations are no where near their pre DDT decline,
though many people who think we have lots weren't alive to see their pre
DDT numbers..me included.
I do worry about feeding dead or diseased chickens to eagles, more on the
front of disease transmission risk and bringing high congregations of birds
for an unnatural food source.... time will tell on that I guess.
As for who preys on what, that has ebbed and flowed forever. Definite food
for thought.
