Little snow there and=0Avery little ice so easy walking.=0AThere wa= s a nice flock of Black Ducks at the bridge, maybe=0A50 in all with a dozen= or so Mallards mixed in. One of the Blacks=0Ahad a band. Really worn, look= ed like a US F&W job to read that=0Abut he didn't offer to let me have the = band.=0AA little farther along the shore was a piece of a Ground Fish net.= =0AIt was snarled up into a ball with all the rope on it twisted=0Ainto cat= snarles. There was a couple of nice yellow bouys on it=0Aand an anchor. Th= e old fashioned type.=A0 A piece of metal piper=0Awith pieces of rebar weld= ed on for grapples. What made it interesting=0Awas the number of sea squirt= s attached to the twine. Covered=0Awould be the word.=0ASea Ducks seem to h= ave left for the cold weather. There is no ice=0Aaround the island and a co= uple of lobster boats were out checking traps=0AOnly 3 grebe but 6 Loons we= re still here with a few Red breasted Mergansers. I don't know where the Gr= ebes go but they will be back=0Ain March.=0AAll the seal rocks had a seal o= r two. I counted 16 in all.
