Hi Jim and all:

=20

I'm basing my analysis on the same bird singing in the same spot for four c=
onsecutive mornings in a row. This to me should be indicative of a male es=
tablishing territory.

Sincerely=2C

Not wishing to be argumentative this morning=2C but singing doesn't necessa=
rily indicate bird is "on territory" -- I invite further comments=2C but th=
ink of grackles and red-winged blackbirds when they arrive in the northern =
parts of their range and engage in "group gronks"/communal singing=2C and o=
f course migrating male warblers that sing all their way north -- are their=
 territories moving with them as they travel? What say you=2C Lance? and o=
thers?=20

Cheers=2C and nothing personal=2C James=2C from Jim in Wolfville.
