Hi Nancy,
    Your ID is correct. I don't know when Fireflies in general pupate =
but, as described in American Beetles Vol 2, Ellychnia corrusca pupates =
in autumn in dead logs (I expect they mean rotting wood) and ecloses =
before winter. Adults of this beetle could I expect normally be found =
here every month of the year (Perhaps not this winter !). Their larvae =
glow when disturbed but the adults don't emit light.
