Hi Keith:
=20
This sounds like a minnow trap possibly. Usually set out for mumichucks - =
I probably spelt this wrongly. The minnow that we use for going for trout =
and bass. =20

I don't know anything about traps but=0A=
they are in a small pond in a marsh at Rainbow Haven and it=0A=
certainly appeared they were deliberately placed there. They were=0A=
tubular with about 1 foot across at the largest end and 2.5 feet=0A=
long give or take. They were half submerged and it looks like the=0A=
larger end had an opening a few inches in diameter. I don't see=0A=
any bait in them though.

I tried making this post=0A=
earlier with a picture attachment of the traps=20
=0A=
but my message never made it through so I'll try it=0A=
without the=20

attachment. While birding at Rainbow Haven this morning=2C=
=0A=
I saw 2=20
=0A=
circular=2C cage traps in the marsh that is immediately=0A=
behind the winter=20
=0A=
parking lot. I never saw them before so they are recent.=0A=
Does anyone=20
=0A=
know if they are supposed to be there?
