My apologies for the previous blank messages. I have a new laptop and don't yet have my preferred email handler installed, so was using Bell's webmail - ugh.

I enjoyed a leisurely walk around the Frog Pond at Fleming Park in Jollimore, HRM today (i.e. Thursday, 29 May). There were many spring arrivals and lots of birdsong, even at mid-day. I saw and/or heard about thirty-seven species of birds. The warbler of the day though was the Blackpoll Warbler, which was everywhere. These were the first I had seen this year, and I easily saw 20 or more, males and females. The next most abundant were the Black-and-White Warblers. I was also pleased to see two Eastern Kingbirds, and two Common Nighthawks.

Cheers,
