Need helpful info from a naturalist. We have a cottage in Green Bay, =
Lunenburg County and the last two
weekends we have found two Flying Squirrels that are dead and have been =
decapitated. I thought the
first one was unusual enough, but found another one today within 3 feet =
of where the first one was found.
We have been debating over the possible culprit, but everything we =
thought of the question was raised
"Why were they only decapitated"? I would think an owl, cat, hawk, =
raccoon or other predator would
take the whole carcass. Does anyone have a good answer? We have frozen =
the remains this time in case=20
anyone can possibly identify the culprit from the remains.

Really enjoy all of your updates on so many different subjects Keep up =
the good work.
