On June 17th at about 16:00=2C I walked around Miner's Marsh with my =
granddaughter. I heard an American Bittern
just after arriving. About 20 minutes later=2C I saw the bird flying overhe=
ad being escorted by a male Redwing Blackbird.
It landed in the grass on the other side of the river. My brother-in-law=2C=
how lives near the Marsh=2C told me that he had
heard Am Bittern there earlier in the spring. I also saw the Pied-billed Gr=
ebe and chicks that day.
