I was happy to see the COME family successfully hatched on L Torment, East Dalhousie, Kings Co once again this year. A female and 5 fairly large ducklings (half size of adult) have been cruising along the shore this morning. So far they have swam back and forth along ~100' of our lakeshore about 20 times. The mother leads in one direction, everyone turns and the young lead in the opposite direction. They seem to be feeding occasionally along the way. It all looks very unhurried and leisurely.
