As we were coming east in the Valley, just north of Middleton on Rt 101 we first encountered a coyote crossing the road ahead of us. The interesting thing was that both Alison and I thought of a cougar possibility at first before we got a closer look at it.

Just a minute later we encountered two groups of Nighthawks 'hawking' low over the area around the highway. First a group of eight then another of 10 or more. This was a good sight to see because I had not seen many this summer.
