This is a bit unrelated in terms of location:
I spent a few days (Sep 2-8) around Mount Carleton, northern New Brunswick.
At an elevation of 750 meters, in a boreal forest area (spruce, fir) surrounded
by flower-scarce mixed woodlands, a hummingbird buzzed by.
I am sure it knew what it was doing, but I would not have expected
to see one there.
