We had a couple visit through the summer but when white breasteds move =
in the Red breasteds move on. It seems to cycle. White breasteds here =
today. They did nest near by earlier in the year.=20

  Marg Millard, White Point, Queens

  ...............................................

That reminds me: In recent decades, red-breasted nuthatches have been =
fairly common in our neighbourhood. I have neither seen nor heard any =
this summer, and cannot recall any reports from anyone of sightings. =
Wonder how those little guys are doing, globally.
