I checked out Ocean Pond after 6 p.m. last night. There were no crows around, but I easily spotted what was definitely a Barred Owl, up in the oak trees. A woman who works at Dalhousie was also looking for it - she said that it had been there all day.

By the description, it was a Barred Owl. I hope to be able to check it out before sunset, as soon as I can get away from work.
