Blake Maybank, Peter Brannon and I fit in a solid day of winter birding
today on both sides of Halifax Harbour, trying to record some lingering
fall birds. We had some luck, with the following sightings of note.

8 White-rumped Sandpipers (Hartlen Point)
0 Great Egrets (Silver Sands, Cow Bay)
1 Tree Swallow (Rainbow Haven)
1 Canvasback (Bissett Lake, a big thank you to David Waterfield for
discovering the bird)
1 House Wren (Hastings tangle, behind old Neighbour's Pub location)
3 Eurasian Wigeon (drakes, Sullivan's Pond)
2 Dickcissels (Old City Dump)
2 House Finches (Elm Street, Halifax)
1 Wood Duck (Frog Pond, )
1 Wilson's Warbler (Thanks to Dave Currie, S Coburg Street)
2 Orange-crowned Warblers (Cole Harbour Funeral Home and S Coburg Street)
