Hi Paul

Where do you hang your hat?

Might be useful to see if it is a Northern or Southern flying squirrel.

Andrew

Subject: [NatureNS] Flying Squirrel

Hi All
Last night about midnight a racket from the window awoke me.
When I looked over I could see a Flying Squirrel outside on the window screen.
Walking back and forth and using the screen as a fiddle.
After a short time it flew away. Its outline is shorter than a red squirrel but wider!
No doubt it enjoys a snack of the seeds I put out for the birds.
A few times in the past a Flying Squirrel tail was on the lawn in the morning the
rest probably a midnight meal for an Owl.
That is the first time for me seeing a Flying Squirrel in the night without a light.
Enjoy the last of winter
Paul
