I don't know how many will remember this, but Christopher Majka, at the NSMN=
H, and perhaps others in Nova Scotia, worked on starting up a project call=
ed Thousand Eyes, which was web-based and built upon MacKay's work in the ea=
rly 20th century. There was a website set up for people to report observati=
ons. At the time, I was living in Ontario, so not able to participate. Any=
how, I just did a search and here is a post by CM back in October 2001, whic=
h describes the Thousand Eyes citizen science project. It is archived on th=
e chebucto.ns.ca server. I always wondered what happened with Thousand Eyes=
. Perhaps someone reading this will know. Also, does Christopher Majka stil=
l follow this list?
