izen Science Expo. Wolfville Farmers=E2=80=99 Market, 2 p.m.</b> Have you c=
aught the buzz about Citizen Science? Citizen scientists are dark sky mappe=
rs, supernova hunters, butterfly chasers, Chimney Swift counters, bird-feed=
er watchers, milkweed planters, bat reporters, water-quality monitors, phen=
ology trackers, GPS mappers, big-data crunchers and DIY nature nerds. There=
are now hundreds of ways the average Maritimer can easily contribute to ex=
citing and important scientific research while on a computer, in a workshop=
or in the field. So how do you know what projects you or your family could=
get involved in and who (or what) could benefit most from your passion, ti=
me and observations? A good first step is to join us at the inaugural BNS C=
itizen Science Expo for an afternoon of displays and presentations by organ=
izations leading citizen science projects. This is a great opportunity for =
individuals of all ages to find a niche for their passions, and for organiz=
ations to promote their projects and recruit volunteers. If your organizati=
on would like to set up a display or give a presentation at the event, plea=
se contact the BNS Program Coordinator, James Churchill (<a href=3D"mailto:=
