The work of an eastern phoebe maybe? They use mud and moss... I hear that
some are back now.

Hi James and All,
Just curious but I have a few questions. Was the box filled with mud
and moss too or just the hole plugged, what were the box and hole dimensions
and for what species was the birdhouse intended? All the best.

Sounds like a Hermit Thrush. Just kidding.

I received an email about a birdhouse hole plugged solid with moss and mud.
Any ideas what type of critter/bird might have done this. I'm at a loss.
This is under the peak of a shed roof that this was done.
