Hi Carmel and All
</div>=20
<div>
I find sparrows in winter, song, white-throat and tree at least are very=
attracted to our
</div>=20
<div>
azalea and rhodo plants. The best is the Royal azalea now over 30 years =
old that flowers
</div>=20
<div>
well each year and is tall enough - about 3 meters - to be above the sno=
w. I never pick many
</div>=20
<div>
flowers and it seems to set a lot of seed. The sparrows like the seed ev=
en if the seed is tiny.
</div>=20
<div>
and will additionally feed at the bird feeders.
</div>=20
<div>
The azaleas that produce seed are species not the hybrids found usually.=
No doubt the
</div>=20
<div>
birds find their seed similar to the rhodora seed a very close relative.
</div>=20
<div>
Have a nice spring
</div>=20
<div>
Paul
