I know I posted to Alix but wasn't sure if I had posted to Nature NS. So
here is the repost with some additions.

 

 

Finally some activity in my yard!! I was beginning to think all was lost,
since we had to cut down a row of large spruce trees that were a favorite of
the birds.

 

Yesterday, two male Rose Breasted GB.  Today male and female hummer at 6:30
am.  Practically frozen I would guess from the frost we had.  Male oriole (
first year) an hour later and I just saw a RBGB at my neighbours.

We have had the hummers for a while off and on and also swallows who check
out all the nests in the area and then leave and then repeat the process.

 

Have just had a visit from an immature Orchard Oriole, I have put out grapes
and grape jelly to further temp  him to stay awhile !!
