Laura and I spotted one *Pine Warbler* that has returned to the breeding
colony(unknown size). I will return in a couple of weeks to listen for
singing or observe other nesting behavior. This is the fourth year in a
row that they have been found in this location. Nesting behavior has
been observed in the previous three years including a sighting of a
fledged bird.

North of Elderbank on the way to Middle Musquodoboit on Route #357
there was a flyby of a *Brown Thrasher*. We stopped and looked for it
but couldn't locate it.

At the Brookfield Marsh we spotted a *Least Sandpiper*, quite a surprise.

I have photos of the Pine Warbler and Least Sandpiper and will post a
story board tomorrow in my blog of our cross country trip of today.

We had 11 warbler species including Pine, Blackburnian and Yellow.
