Hi all:
=20
I'm falling down I guess in forgetting to tend to things. I had a phone ca=
ll from a lady the other evening regarding a red crossbill that flew into h=
er house window and killed itself. The lady wanted to know if anyone would=
want it for study purposes. Eg.=2C a museum=2C university or otherwise. =
There had been an ongoing crossbill study=2C I believe based out of PEI. I=
s this study still going on and would that person like to have the specimen=
. Let me know so that I can have the person drop the bird to DNR to go to =
whoever wants it with the appropriate permit for such. Once she has a perm=
it for possession to legally have the bird in her procession=2C then I can =
get her to take it to DNR to send to whoever or have her mail it to the app=
ropriate people or can arrange for pickup of the bird. It is currently in =
her refrigerator in a paper bag. I believe a permit is required before it g=
oes anywhere. =20
