Join Canoe Kayak Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Environment - Protected =
Areas and Ecosystems staff for an outing on the "Milford Lakes" (Geier =
Lake, Boot Lake, Fisher Lake) along the SW boundary of the pending =
Medway Lakes Wilderness Area. The trip will involve stops at several =
traditional campsites and a walk down a portage or two. There will be no =
whitewater and no portaging, making the trip suitable for canoes, sea =
kayaks and SUPs. We will meet at 10 AM at a landing off Highwy # 8 =
(actual location to be confirmed). Bring your own boat plus the required =
safety gear, hiking boots/shoes, snacks, water, hat, sunglasses, =
sunscreen and insect repellent. To pre-register and for more information =
