A couple of years ago, we learned of a local charity which released = balloons to raise money to deal with local cancer issues. I contacted = the President, and she mentioned having searched the literature. One = particular society in the U.S. evidently found that latex balloons were = less harmful than synthetic ones, but I did get the distinct feeling = that the author had to portray them in the best light. Same old story = about the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, of harm in = this case.
