Dear All, July 3, 2015
Today, while loading a jag of firewood in North Alton, I exposed a fair
sized Garter Snake (~1.5'). Good to see one there because recovery following
the 2008-2009 (?) icing of mice/voles has been very slow.

The following may to some not seem suitable for naturens but if we
assume that parasitism is naturens fodder then it should pass for it is a
stunning example of arrogant parasitism by government.

When I was last there on June 18 the Exit 13 overpass was reduced to one
lane while pavement was stripped from the West lane by excavator and traffic
was being controlled by dumb lights such that frequently two lanes with
vehicles had red lights while the 101 exit with no vehicles waiting had a
green light. It may have taken another hour to finish stripping that lane.
On July 3, 16 days later all the barriers and lights are in place but no
indication that anything has been happening there since June 18. Out tax
dollars at work.

Yt, Dave Webster, Kentville
