Oops! Wrong maple species. According to J. L. Farrar's "Trees in Canada"
(1995), Sugar Maple hybridizes with Black Maple, which is NOT native to our
province. No mention of possible hybridization with Norway Maple.

You are correct; Sugar and Norway Maples aren't closely related and
