folks,

BNS is putting together an impromptu crew to watch some good candidate
chimneys for evidence of nesting *this week, in Wolfville and Kentville.*

There are only a handful of known nesting chimneys in the Maritimes and now
is a great time to catch parents making feeding visits at
as-of-yet-undiscovered nest sites.

Finding nesting chimneys is a high-value activity as Chimney Swifts show
high fidelity to nesting sites and found chimneys can be a great source of
information for years to come.

*We will*:
- radiate from roost chimneys in Wolfville and Kentville
- choose some 'prime candidate' chimneys
- watch for one-hour or until birds are observed visiting

*If this week you have*:
- a couple of hours to devote to this at any time (we don't have to do this
simultaneously)
- or a video camera you/we can set up on some good candidate chimneys and
leave for a couple of hours...

...Please let me know at info@blomidonnaturalists.ca.

Thanks!
James
