The house sparrow saga is an interesting one. A couple of decades ago, ma=
ny of us saw them as exotic invasives, but in more recent years, they have =
become local and somewhat noteworthy.

Does anyone know what happened?

We had a House Sparrow feeding 3 fledged young yesterday. She would fly to=
the black-oil sunflower feeder and then back to feed them. She must have =
been cracking the seeds for them.

A Ruby-throated Hummingbird chased a Black-capped Chickadee around. They w=
eren't near the hummingbird feeder so I don't know what that was about.

Don
