<span style="font-size: 14pt;">Yesterday we went to Kemptville area to get pictures of<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">the fall colours. We were not disappointed!<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">Several places where we were along the lake / river shores<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">we were in some tall evergreen trees. Pines, spruce and firs.<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">The undergrowth of firs and spruce was remarkable. Right up to<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">making viewing difficult ( 2 m about ).  Mostly places like this are pretty<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">lawn like. I asked a local who looked like he might be a hunter and he<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">told me deer were very scarce. Perhaps the lack of deer allowed the <br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">small trees to grow rather than been browsed. <br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">One area in the area held a grove of Norway Spruce. Must have been planted<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">a long time ago and they were partially harvested. Some nice trees for lumber.<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">The water in the area was high. and it seems like there is more water than land.<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">Looks like a great area for a canoe.<br/></span>
