I like the idea of Mother Canada, (father in Heaven) welcoming home
ours who scarifice (and otherwise), embodied in a monument that can be
seen for miles around, the bigger the better. I do like the
outstretched arms facing=C2=A0seaward,=C2=A0welcoming home all, spiritually=
.
There needs to be no walkways or anything else on the island,
native=C2=A0berry shrubs for birds maybe. =C2=A0Sometimes healing comes fro=
m
other things than money, just to buy booze for example. The heart is
where the healing begins, then the rest comes easy, not the other way
around.

I always thought that Devils Island or Georges Island would have been a
good place for the Mother Canada statue. So many left here and some
never to come back from our Harbour that it would be a fitting place.=C2=A0=
Even to this day.

Maybe they could make it hollow from the top for Chimney Swifts (as
mother canada welcomes her children home) to appease certain people. It
would sort of be like the statue of Liberty of New York and give us a
worthy landmark. Our Navy who still leaves here on all our behalf would
surely appreaciate her as I would.
