Speakers: Art Lynds and Clinton Pinks (DNR Parks)
Art Lynds and Clinton Pinks will present a brief review of the Nova Scotia =
Provincial Parks system, including a discussion about the significance of e=
cological integrity within the park. The Division of Parks and Recreations =
is responsible for over 200 Provincial Park properties and 90 plus protecte=
d beaches. Their mandate includes the planning, development and operation o=
f nature-based park and trail properties and associated opportunities for r=
ecreation, education and tourism. Nova Scotia Provincial Parks are administ=
ered by the Department of Natural Resources. The Department is responsible =
for the Provincial Parks Act, the Trails Act and the Beaches Act.
Meet at NS Museum of Natural History at 7:30 p.m.
