Found an adult barred owl, dead on Highway 101, just west of Coldbrook
(marker 110 or 210?) , Kings, Co. It has a nasty broken wing, with the bone
sticking through the feathers. Otherwise it looks to be in pretty good
shape. Checked both feet for a Bernard band, but both were bare.

Are there any non-profit groups/organizations looking for barred owls for
communication mounts or other study? If so, please pass my information and
I'll sort something out for pick-up/drop-off.
