I had seven Evening Grosbeaks at my feeder today in Samsonville,
Rich. Co., but they couldn't get to the black oil seeds in the cage and
so they left.
I have a cage to allow the smaller finches in but to keep out the
Grackles, Doves, Starlings and Blue Jays that clean out the feeders.
Their own feeders were empty when the Grosbeaks arrived. I filled them
guickly, but the Grosbeaks left and haven't returned. However, the
feeders are just about empty again.
