A week and ago I was rushing to get to Crescent Beach to do a shorebird sur=
vey. In the pond on the left side of the Road in LaHave just before you ge=
t to Dublin Shore, I saw a Muscovy Duck. It was not there on the way back =
and I've not seen it since. A domestic escapee likely, but still not somet=
hing I've seen in this area before. Tonight there was a lesser novelty the=
re. A green-winged teal. I did a shorebird survey on Crescent Beach tonig=
ht and had a buff-breasted sandpiper. It appears to be a juvenile.
