I was starting to get a bit depressed by the numbers of birds that I was se=
eing around Lunenburg this morning. All of the multiflora and hotspots wer=
e producing nothing at all or single species of birds. I then went to Firs=
t Peninsula and that was when things got exciting. I spoke to a lady there=
who described the northern mockingbird and said it had been around for two=
months. I did not see it today though. She said that it was tending in t=
he multiflora along the shore in the same spot where it was found most ofte=
n last winter. What I did find there though was four Baltimore orioles. T=
here actually might have been six. I got photos of four of them before the=
y flew to the back of the bush. I did not see any of the orioles cross the=
road, but when I looked to my left there were two feeding on the ground. =
Anyhow, I'll post pictures later.
