Spent a half day at Shubie Park in Dartmouth a couple of days ago. It's = an easily accessible place to enjoy Nature and take some video. The Shubie Canal system follows beside 3 or 4 lakes with connecting = canals that were constructed between the 1820's and 1850's. It connects = Halifax Harbour to Grand Lake in Wellington - whence to the Shubinacide = River and the Bay of Fundy. Not a lot of wildlife - probably because of the Park's popularity with = dog walkers. Still, a pleasant place to enjoy a cigar.
