Things at the feeders here in White Point have been up and down number wise.
We have the usuals: Chickadees, Juncos, Mourning Doves, a couple white
breasted Nuthatches, Sparrows, song and white throats, Woodpeckers both
Hairy and Downy, males and females, Starlings but only a few, Grackles, and
Blue Jays. With one group of Blue Jays we have a mature male Cardinal and
with another there is a young male nearly in full colour. There were 3
Robins yesterday and today we have had a number Red winged Blackbirds some
flashing their colours already!
Steve and I took a drive to Greenfield today to view (we hoped) a leucistic
BlueJay. We were in luck. I did get a couple photos, neither of which are
great but I will share them on NS Bird Society page on Facebook. Crows, Bald
Eagles and other flying meat eaters were about on our Journey to and from
Greenfield. We had a lovely drive back along the Medway River. Enjoyable
all around. Marg
