* if an important book like that is going to only be printed in a fixed
initial print run (and this isn't the first time an atlas volume like
this has quickly become unavailable), it should be put up on an online
publishing site, as we have with our much-less-important Library of One
Thing and Another - http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/karstad - so anyone
who needs one can buy it, even if the price is higher than it would be
in a hard-copy print run.
On lulu.com the existing pdfs could be pasted together in a couple of
hours work. and the book could be published in both black & white and
more expensive colour editions, with whatever markup over cost the
sponsoring group thinks appropriate
