<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Yesterday evening I took the canoe to a favorite lake</span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">for an evening paddle.  Just before I got there I heard a ping</span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">on the canoe. When the canoe was in the water, a bee was lying</span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">in the front, either dead or stunned. I just left it there.</span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">I spent a couple of hours paddling. There was a little wind and</span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">a sprinkling of rain but after a spell it got nice and milder. </span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">My rain jacket was on the floor of the canoe - it wasn't needed.</span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">As it got warmer I saw the bee crawling on the rain jacket. And</span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">it was a beautiful Tri-colored bee ( Bombus ternarius ) I believe.</span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Alas no camera! The orange was spectacular in the evening light.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">She could crawl but it wasn't warm enough that she could fly so<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">I paddled into a little point. put the paddle in front of her and she<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">crawled unto it. It was easy to lift her and the paddle up and<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">place her over the point where she crawled of unto the grass.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">I hope she will warm up today and fly off.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">A lot of folks out last evening. Fishing and they were catching<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">a few fish. One group had even brought a barbeque and were making<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">supper! A very friendly group!<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
