Tonight (Sunday, Sept. 10 at 4:30 pm) there was a Northern Bobwhite on the boulevard in the middle of Dunbrack street just south of Ross street. The eye stripe was extremely rufous (more red than brown) and the belly seemed much whiter than any of my ID books show. I didn't know of any populations of these around Halifax but have seen them before close to Milford Station/Carroll's Corner. Quite surprised to see it in the city.

Thank you,
Donald
