A N Mockingbird was teetering on a wire overlooking a large Xmas tree farm in Lakeview, Kings Co. today. An unusual sighting for me in this area. In the woods nearby small flocks of finches including Pine Siskins, Purple Finches and Goldfinches. One of the Purples was singing a shaky version of their usual song from a treetop.

And many dragonflies (ID?) on the wing.
