  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Hi All</span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Yesterday was a fine day for a hike so<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">it was Keji! ! The trail selected was the trail from Jake&#39;s Landing<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">out to the Park boundary. 2.1 k one way ( GPS reading ) but much<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">shorter on the way back than the way out !<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">The trail is an old road little used now but in good shape for hiking.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Dry with few puddles. It must have been a horse trail at one time.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">The horses seeded white clover along the trail which still is plentiful<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">long after the horses are no more.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">It passes through some big evergreens - Pine, Hemlock, Spruce among others.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Some of the Hemlocks have gone the way of the horses. But large fungus have<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">taken advantage. I don&#39;t know the name of those big fungus but they are an impressive size.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">some are grey and a few are red. Lots of hollow trees for cavity nesting birds.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Parts have been cleared for farming a long time ago but have grown back to forest.<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">In other spots the white pines of many stems tell of open spaces when they <br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">were young. The smaller pines near them are straight thanks to the many stemmed pines<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">nearby. A whole story they have to tell!<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">A Bear had passed by and left its calling card. It had eaten a meal of beechnuts with<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">a side order of mushrooms. Beechnuts are very plentiful this year. One of the best<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">crops I&#39;ve seen in years. I even got to eat a few. As always they were delicious!<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">A very enjoyable walk!<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Enjoy the Fall<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Paul<br/></span>
  </div>
  <div>
   <span style="font-size: 12pt;">&#160;</span>
  </div>

</body></html>
