I'd like to add that 'industry' is not a prerequisite for jobs. Humans =
are perfectly capable of employing (and organizing) themselves.
Hmm =E2=80=A6 good point =E2=80=A6 but =E2=80=A6 all too often easier =
said than done, with an indigestibly long lag period, and greater =
challenges in semi-rural N.S.
Then there are the various economic contractions in the area over the =
past few years: the call centre, the downsizing of the Michelin plant, =
the shrinkage of the Sobeys office=E2=80=A6 The area is hurting. That =
mill isn=E2=80=99t going anywhere, tomorrow.
I would love to see the damned mill shrink to a more =
environmentally-friendly operation (or even disappear), but with all the =
economic challenges in the area, maybe the first order of business =
should be to encourage new, sustainable and otherwise locally =
appropriate economic activities in the area. In my experience, people =
are more inclined to tighten their environmental belts if they have =
other economic options to go for=E2=80=A6
Sounds like a job for Justin, Navdeep, and company, not just the =
province =E2=80=A6
Worth pushing for?

Dear All,
