We are now at species 197 species which is 1 more than we had at the end of=
January last year and 2 short of the 199 we finished with

Addition(s) since the last update:
Gyrfalcon =96 Glace Bay , Christmas Bird Count. David Currie contacted me t=
o me know he noticed that Cathy Murrant submitted a Gyrfalcon for the count=
. It was observed on Dec 29 so it will add another to the December count, o=
ur 193 in December is only 1 short of the 194 we had at the end of January =
last year.

**The core species we are still missing (the white rows in the spreadsheet)=
.
Ruddy Duck
Eastern Meadowlark =96 2 years ago we dipped and thereby snapped a 20+ year=
 streak

**Obviously most are very unlikely now but species we=92re still missing th=
at have been on the Winter Bird List 13 or 14 times in the last 20 years
Sexy Duck (Redhead)
Semipalmated Sandpiper
House Wren
Black-and-White Warbler
Lark Sparrow

There may be a short delay before the spreadsheet gets uploaded but for mor=
e info or to view the WBL list or to download the full version of the WBL s=
preadsheet, visit our Winter Birds page under Library at http://nsbirdsocie=
ty.ca/
