We are now at species 201 which is two more than we had at the end of Febru=
ary last year. In my initial WBL post I had mentioned that our record year =
was 205 species but I had forgotten about the 2005/06 which had 217 species=
and is quite the outlier. Anyone remember that winter and why it was so go=
od for winter birding? Was it just a really mild winter? By looking at spec=
ies it appears a late fall might have left an usual amount of passerines an=
d shorebirds around. But we are 3 species short of our 2nd highest WBL of a=
ll time.

Addition(s) since the last update:
Black Vulture. Clayton Sampson, Petit de Grat, Isle Madame, Cape Breton Is=
land. Thanks to Nancy Dowd for forwarding me the Facebook post

There may be a short delay before the spreadsheet gets uploaded but for mor=
e info or to view the WBL list or to download the full version of the WBL s=
preadsheet, visit our Winter Birds page under Library at http://nsbirdsocie=
ty.ca/
